Tips on studying abroad in Paris

I was in a one week French intensive program with my university and we went to Musee d'Orsay. I never really appreciated art until the guide told us the history and the context behind some of the painting and sculptures. These are the paintings and sculptures that I found interesting and fascinating.

Although I've been in Paris since December 14th,  I still feel like I'm seeing and learning new things every day. I wanted to study abroad because I wanted something different, new and I wanted to see a side of me that I tend to hide while I'm back "home." I came back to Paris because for some reason I feel more confident here. I'm wearing outfits like cropped flare pants, that I'd be too scared and too shy to wear back "home"  Home is in quotation marks because I don't know if I can really call it home, I'd be lying to myself if I did. I haven't felt at home for a long time and maybe that is because I moved a lot when I was younger but I can truly say that I feel at home when I'm in France. I have great family members and friends here. Maybe that's why when everyone asks me if I miss home, I say no. Dec-15  Travelling alone was very fun for me because I love meeting new people from different countries and talking to them. My flight left Boston at around 2 p.m. despite the fact that it was scheduled to leave at 12 p.m.. After one hour, I landed in New York (JFK airport) and stayed there for two hours, sitting tight for my next flight to Paris. In JFK, shockingly, there was no WiFi and I was completely guttered because I didn't bring anything else to keep me occupied. I got up and walked around for some time and went into a souvenir store because I had forgotten to purchase my Host family a gift. I heard someone speaking French so I went up to them and started a conversation and asked if they were taking the same flight as me and they were. I didn't see him after that but I also talked to the person who was sitting next to me even though they didn't speak French.
